We’ve been getting a lot of calls and emails asking whether real estate continuing education is due by October 31, 2016, and if so, how many hours are needed to satisfy the State of Michigan’s requirements. The answer is you need 18 hours of real estate continuing education during each 3-year cycle. We are currently in the N Cycle, which runs from November 1, 2015 through October 31, 2018. So, all licensed real estate agents and brokers need 18 hours of con ed by October 31, 2018. However, the State also mandates that for each year within the 3-year cycle, you must also take at least 2 hours of legal update or a law related course. That con ed is not due until December 31 of each year (not October 31). That said, we always recommend that folks take 6 hours each year to avoid being overwhelmed at the end of the cycle. We can help with your 2016 continuing education! We offer courses in 2, 3, 4 and 6 hour increments, including legal updates. You can take as much or as little as you’d like. And act now to save 15% with the discount code NCYCLE. Cheers!
